Chapter 30- The Houses of Healing
I woke up this morning, peeed, freshened up, and went down to find myself all alone. So i decided to start on one of the new dvds my father bought yesterday night- Rain Man, by Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.. I love these shows, I am Sam, Forrest Gump, etc... These are really great shows, actors with sublime acting skills portray people who are usually autistic or mentally disadvantaged, but are incredibly smart. Of course, we should know the real people aren't that cute. Being a sympathetic person, i soaked my whole pillow, while for kenneth, i think he would be laughing along for the entire show if he watched it.. While i understand some of you guys have read the reader's digest article on the real rain man, who wasn't that likeable as Dustin Hoffman, but he's really admirable, i mean, each of his eyes can scan a whole page, and he can finish a book in an average of an hour! PLUS, there's like a bonus, he can memorize EVERYTHING on the page, EVERYTHING, which actually means, he just needs one hour to finish the history textbook and get 100 for the history end-of-year exam the next hour, i mean how incredible is thaT???? So the movie was really interesting, and touching, who sissy, can you believe it? Its hexun! Hexun's shedding tears! sissy boy.
I did nothing much for the rest of the day until my family went out for a pot luck at my church friend's house. So, knowing that i was keen about pool, my friend heng yi's father booked the snooker room just for us, then, i informed Wei Zhou about my impending pool tournament. Omigosh, is it really a big matter? Wei Zhou called me four times that night to confirm me and to ensure i do TPA proud, i mean, what do you expect Master Tian? I'm ranked 2.5!!! And Teck Siang also expressed concern and wished me luck... this wasn't what i quite expected, must every match be a MUST WIN match? I'm on a two month leave!!! Two months vacation!!! Yes well, when i got into the snooker room, i didn't play well, i didn't score 100 points as i thought i would, i was focusing on getting the points, not snookering heng yi or my brother, they weren't that good. The best i managed was a 50, while my friend and my brother were like in the negative section of the scoreboard. But still, i'll state my reason as i should:
1. No cuetip, the table was 900 years old, the cues were rotten and all the tips came off, except the one i was using, but i was busy masseing till the tip came off =(
2. Excessive use of deep mind trickery by the user, too much backfires..
3. Bent cue, my cue wasn't exactly straight, i had to aim left to get a stun shot.
4. Colour blindedness, the balls were not easily distinguishable
5. Lack of interest in opponents, they only seemed interested in seeing me trying to get my 100 points, while they were stuck at negatives.
So that was my interesting day..
